Moving Out On My Own

And so it begins!

First came the career, now comes the moving out part.

I a 23 year old single woman. I have a background in Design, and have now moved into Internet Marketing. I have an excellent job, at a great company, working with some really wonderful, intelligent people. All in all things are looking good for me.

I had originally planned on moving out some time between July and September. Unfortunately I am an idiot and started looking at apartments just to check out what was out there. I fell in love with a place and am moving out May 5th.

There have been some minor complications so far. The first being the odd looks I've received from some friends and family. The "Wait are you sure you don't want to find a roommate?" And a look that says "Girls shouldn't really live alone" I of course chose to ignore it. Everyone seemed to get over it quickly enough.

The next complication is...well Rogers. I cannot sign up for cable and internet. That irritates the crap out of me. They won't let me sign up until I am already in there...which means that I cannot make an appointment for the tech to come in until I am already in there...so it looks like it will be June before I have internet in my new place. I am going to remind you all again that I work for an Internet company...me living without internet for a month would be MISERABLE! I will end out living at the office the entire time. I am pretty angry with rogers at the moment. I don't see that going away any time soon.

So I have shopped...and packed and shopped some more. And am almost ready to move. I don't have a desk (but what will I need it for, if I don't have internet access anyway?) but I pretty much have everything else covered.

At this point I am excited, terrified, nervous, anxious and exhausted. I think things are going to be good.

2007 is going to be a really good year.
